The Chaccu at Llama Linda Ranch

Linda Hayes started raising llamas in 1989. With a herd of nearly 50 she was a major force in starting the llama industry in North Texas. While showing she won many halter and performance championships. Her first alpaca was a Suri purchased in 2,000.

The same year she moved her operation to Colorado so these woolly creatures would not have to suffer from the summer heat. She purchased Huacaya alpacas 4 years ago and later became interested in the Paco-Vicuna. Linda is a certified judge in the Alpaca and Llama Show Association. She is also an Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association judge, certified to judge fleece, Suri's and Huacayas as well as being a performance judge trainer. She has spoken at several industry conferences and written many articles on health and training of camelids. She enjoys working with new people and believes that follow-up after the sale is important. She welcomes calls and can provide a list of satisfied customers.
